I am a wife and mom to 2 teenagers, Reese and Landon. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats.

I graduated from West High School in Knoxville, TN as a multi-sport athlete in Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, and Track and Field. She broke several school records before graduating.  I graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education as well as competing in Cross Country and Track for FHSU. While competing I set a school record in the 1,000 meter indoor race, and was named MIAA Athlete of the week (’11). I applied to the Hutchinson Police Department in the spring of 2015 and completed the KLETC academy in the fall of 2015. I received the Fitness Award for the 236th graduating class.

After 5 years with the Hutchinson Police Department spending most of my time as a patrol officer, and an instructor of DV (’16), Defensive Tactics (’17), Taser and O.C. (’18); I left the department and became a victim advocate for domestic violence, and sexual assault victims for a non-profit organization in 2020 to 2021.

After a year of being a victim advocate, I accepted a job at the South Hutchinson Police department where I worked as a patrol officer and was the DV instructor for the department for just over two years. I put together a workout cycle for my department that officers could implement for a fitness routine focusing on muscular and cardiovascular endurance.

In 2021, I became one of 5 police officers in the nation trained on the CortexFlo Camera system, which is used to document physical evidence of DV and sexual assault victims.

In 2020 to present, I accepted an invitation to create and teach a fitness class for the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center, which is offered to current police officers around the state of Kansas. From 2021 to 2023, I also created and taught a flexibility and mobility class for officers as well. This was a 6-hour class devoted to the importance of correct movement for first responders.

In 2022, I received certificates from the American Council on Exercise as a Group Fitness Instructor and Functional Training Specialist. In 2022 and 2023, I attended and completed the O2X Human Performance 4 day workshop for first responders. I competed around the state of Kansas as a CrossFit competitor from 2012 to 2018. Female winner of the Officer Down 5k race in 2017 located in Wichita, KS. I was coached by the late Glenn Pendlay from 2017 to 2018 in Olympic weightlifting and strength training.
